Treadmills

Treadmills can be an awesome tool used to get into shape. Here are some reasons to invest in a home treadmill - or repurpose the one serving as a clothes hanger in your living room:
• Ease of use. Just step on the machine and press the "start" button and your workout begins! Most models allow you to adjust the speed and incline.
• No advanced skill or experience required. Many exercises require learning proper form, but you already know how to walk. You can start as slowly as you like and gradually increase the speed as you get into better shape.
• You get results. Researchers found that treadmill workouts burn more calories than workouts on a stationary bike, stair climber, indoor rowing machine or other aerobic exercise equipment.
• Consistency. You set the speed of your treadmill and the belt keeps the same pace for an entire workout, with no guesswork required.
• Variety. Many treadmills come with pre-set exercise programs. If you’re looking for a challenging hill climb, intense speed session or a quick interval workout, your treadmill likely has each of these custom programs built in.
• Measure your progress. Some treadmills have a memory that can recall your previous workouts. If you want to see how much your time has improved, it may be as easy as pressing a few buttons.
• Convenience. Treadmills can help you overcome common exercise barriers such as: 1) Crummy weather outside; exercise indoors on the treadmill, 2) Finding the time to journey to the gym; you can get a great aerobic workout in the comfort of your own home at your convenience, 3) Boring workouts; exercise on your treadmill as you watch your favorite television shows or read a book and time will fly by.
